·  So, you haven't always been a Metalhead Lifestyles webzine?

Answer
·  What is this site?

This site is basically a Metalhead Lifestyles Webzine. We aim to cover EVERYTHING imaginable, all from the point-of-view of Metalheads. Essentially, this site is by Metalheads & for Metalheads, their opinions, their culture, their life! We are taking the idea of the Metal sub-culture, to a whole new level

·  How long have you been online?

Raging Metal has been online since March 2001. However, there has been a radio station of some kind, since October 2000. Initially conceived under the name Metal WWWEB, the site was meant to accompany the radio station, which began to shift it's focus solely onto Metal (it used to play various non-Metal bands).

Gradually over a period of a few months, it was decided to start adding content such as CD Reviews and gradually the site developed into a typical Metal Webzine. The site was renamed to Raging Metal in December 2001 & from February 2002 onwards, the site's popularity grew and the site was redesigned to a more cleaner & professional looking "Metal Site".

·  So, you haven't always been a Metalhead Lifestyles webzine?

No, we haven't. It was decided, sometime in 2005, to relaunch the site. Prior to 4th July 2005, Raging Metal was a typical Metal Webzine, covering Metal Reviews, Interviews and Metal Columns & Articles etc. However, due to stagnating site hit levels & activity, it was decided to ditch the tried & tested Metal Webzine idea and aim for some kind of niche, something that isn't yet widely covered.

With this in mind, it was decided to branch out from just covering Metal, afterall Metalheads DO like other things besides Metal. Plus, there was also some personal frustration among the site staff, wanting to review non-metal, but being unable to do so. Plus, that raised yet another good point - so many metalheads wanting to review non-metal stuff, but didn't want to join a non-metal site to do so. Now, Metalheads have the chance to review anything they like and also to read a vast array of non-metal content, all from the point-of-view of Metalheads, on a Metal site.

·  So, who are the people behind the site?

·  Where is this site based?

The site is hosted in the United Kingdom, but is an International site for metalheads everywhere & with a team of contributors from all around the world.
